To celebrate the release of #StarWars #TheRiseOfSkywalker and the upcoming #NoTimeToDie here's what the original Star Wars would have looked like if James Bond 007 (Roger Moore) blew up the Death Star instead of Luke. Daniel Craig might have had a cameo in The Force Awakens, but he never did this!
After discovering 'a whole city in space' threatening Earth, Bond and his female companion land the Millennium Falcon in the Death Star, contact Earth, steal an X-Wing and head down the trench pursued by Darth Vader to blow up the space station and save the day...with a little help from the Force. There are stormtroopers, laser battles and even a Wilhelm Scream!
The Star Wars footage is from A New Hope (starting with Obi Wan Kenobi's 'that's no moon' scene), and the Bond footage is the scenes from Moonraker where Bond is aboard a space shuttle and Drax's space station. There are a few shots where elements from both films have been subtly combined. All footage and audio from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) is the property of Lucasfilm / Disney.
