In her talk, Gabriela will explain what GMO is, and how it is created. Her main goal will be to talk about GMO solutions to global problems. How it could help with global warming, co2 emissions, ocean and sea contamination, hunger, as well as fighting disease. She will present it as a technology that has the potential to solve these issues. GMO is quite new, but genetic engineering has been used for years. There are still a few reasons why it's not in common use. For example, the surrounding controversies which she hopes to clear in her talk. My name is Gabriela Wiśniewska, and in my life, I want to help others. I am passionate about biology and genetics. There are many things that we as humans can discover and invent to solve our problems, and I hope to be part of that process one day. I'm keen on understanding humans and the human body as well as all the things affecting it. Facing other cultures taught me a lot, and truly inspired me. This is why I love to travel and learn from others by understanding different perspectives.
