The fiery exchange unfolded during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One on Friday when The New York Times's David Sanger noted that the U.S. and Israel carried out bombings for 38 days in Iran without achieving regime change in the Islamic Republic. Trump immediately cut him off and shut him down, turning to personal attacks on the reporter and the prestigious newspaper.
