Day 5 - Closing Arguments - Julio Foolio 4 Penalty Phase
The State finished their closing arguments yesterday (and there's no rebuttal closing in the penalty phase). All 4 defense teams will present their final closing arguments today. Then, Judge Sisco will read jury instructions, and the jury will be sent to deliberate.

Rewatch/discussion of the 2025 Ksoo/ATK Scotty trial involving the killing of rival rapper Lil Buck/Charles McCormick in Jacksonville, tied to the ATK vs. 6Block/KTA feud. Prosecutors said the killing was retaliation for a diss track Lil Buck allegedly wrote about Ksoo’s half-brother, Willie Addison. Ksoo also pled guilty in the case related to Bibby.

This is the penalty phase for the capital murder of Charles Jones. The only two possible outcomes are death or life without parole.
Florida Rule:
The jury needs at least 8 of 12 jurors to recommend death. The judge can only sentence someone to death if the jury recommends it.

1) Contemporaneous violent convictions (3× Attempted 2nd Degree Murder + hotel parking lot shooting)
2) Cold, calculated, premeditated capital homicide (heightened premeditation)
3) Criminal gang member
4) Knowingly created risk of death to many persons

Sean Gathright — 3 factors (1, 2, 4)
Isaiah Chance — 2 factors (2, 3)
Some relevant background:
- Isaiah Chance was not charged with tampering or with the attempted murders.
- Sean Gathright did not have gang enhancement language in his charges, but he was convicted of tampering with physical evidence.
